Scholarship Award Details

Award Amount: $1,000
Selection Criteria: Based on academic achievement, the student biography, and extracurricular or community involvement.
Use of Funds: Disbursed directly to recipients for tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.
Event Attendance: Scholarship award recipients must attend the recognition event in which details will be provided in the "ONYX Foundation, Inc." award acceptance letter.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must meet all of the following:

Be a graduating high-school senior accepted into college, or a currently enrolled college student
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, professors, mentors, or community leaders
Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities or community service
Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Permanent Resident, or Bahamian Resident

Short biography (up to 150 words) outlining your background, interests, and intended field of study
Two letters of recommendation

Official college acceptance letter or enrollment confirmation (with student ID)
FAFSA confirmation or supplemental need documentation (if applicable)
Verifiable Professional Certification/License, and/or Vocational & Skilled Trades School Documentation (If applicable)
